Palisades FORESTRY Committee
The Palisades Forestry Committee (PFC) is a non-profit organization working to increase and protect the tree canopy in Pacific Palisades for its environmental, economic, health, and aesthetic benefits. PFC plants and protects trees along the streets and in the parks and schools of Pacific Palisades.
We are local volunteers who love trees.

Urban Forest Master Plan
Trees welcome our return and renewal.
A team of residents, landscape architects, and arborists is collaborating with the City of Los Angeles' Urban Forestry Division to ensure that green infrastructure in Pacific Palisades becomes part of our community's rebuilding process.
Palisades Parkway Promise
Trees provide shade and beauty to our neighborhoods. They make you feel at home.
Many of our street trees did not burn, but were left with no irrigation and no one to water them.
A water truck has been rolling through the Palisades, keeping many of our stressed street trees alive. But the funding has been exhausted. Please keep the water truck driving through our streets to water the street trees.
The Promise: We'll keep the trees alive until Palisadians come home.

Temporary Ban on Planting Street Trees
Palisades Forestry Committee will continue to plant trees at schools and parks, but planting street trees in the Palisades has been put on pause for the next few months at the direction of the City of Los Angeles in order to give DWP time to plan for the undergrounding of electric power and the placement of transformer boxes in the parkways. The ban is for one year from February 2026. The PFC plans to plant street trees as the ban is lifted.
