About PFC
MISSION
Palisades Forestry Committee’s mission is to:
-
Enhance and sustain the health and beauty of the Pacific Palisades urban forest for future generations by facilitating the planting of appropriate trees and the caring for our existing trees.
-
Educate our community about the economic, environmental, health, social, emotional and aesthetic benefits of the trees that comprise our urban forest.
-
Protect the urban forest from unnecessary removals by better management, planning and enforcement, and honoring the history of trees in the community.

ABOUT US
PFC works with the city’s Urban Forestry Division of StreetsLA to plant street trees. We fill street tree vacancies when requested by a homeowner who is willing to water it.
PFC also works with the city’s Recreation & Parks Department and other volunteers and donors to plant trees in our two Recreation Center parks in the Palisades and Rustic Canyon and in other public spaces.
Our organization has also led the effort to plant “100 Trees for 100 Years” honoring our town’s 100-year anniversary in 2022, starting with planting a native Oak on Founders Oak Island (on Haverford).
PFC was created in 2019 as a committee of the Pacific Palisades Community Council (PPCC), but is now an independent non-profit corporation (Code Section 501(c)(3) tax exempt).
